This is a very different experience for me. I am reading and answering the DE questions for myself personally. That is very different than preparing a lesson about the bible to present to others. I am not preparing for a “role” as the teacher or preacher. Instead, I too am a participant here, a fellow disciple.
It also is different because relationships are the focus of the method Ogden suggests. I have been through this book once before, meeting almost weekly with three others, over nearly a year’s worth of breakfasts at the West End Diner. I am eager to see whether others are interested in discipling relationships via this blog. It is part of the”social media” and I’m wondering how it may be possible to use this forum, especially for people who may not find it convenient to meet weekly somewhere.
However, my goal still is to deepen my faith, to know Christ more fully in my life, and to share my life of faith with others. I will be interested to learn what goals or expectations others might have.
